Tip: Each full size adult chicken needs 8-10 inches of roost bar space. Add an extra roost bar (a 2×4) to give the hens as much sleeping space as possible. Do not crowd chickens as it leads to illness and health issues, which reduces egg laying.

Did You Know? Chicken wire was invented to keep chickens out of vegetable gardens. Hardware cloth is what is necessary to keep predators out of chicken coops. Raccoons can both reach through and rip through chicken wire to easily slaughter your flock. Chicken wire kills chickens!
