Are you in love with stamped egg cartons but want to do it on a budget? I’ll show you a number of ways you can purchase a smaller, less expensive stamp to fit various bulk-ordered cartons but still give your eggs that adorable farmhouse charm. Here is how to do stamped egg cartons on a budget!
Stamped Egg Cartons on a Budget
You’re probably aware that hand-stamped cartons greatly increase the perceived value of your eating and hatching eggs, allowing you to command a higher price per dozen. It gives your work an attractive appearance that assures buyers they are receiving good quality eggs. And it is so much fun to create them and see your farm name displayed so cutely!
2 x 2 inch Carton & Farm Address Stamp in One
Love the idea of having a square carton stamp that would also double as a darling farm label or even an address stamp when needed? If you’re going to spend the money, why not ensure your stamp can do double duty! The 2×2 inch size can be stamped on square-center cartons, 3 inch round labels or 2.5 to 3 inch paper punched shapes so you can tag much more than just your egg cartons. Making price tags, jar labels, plant & seed packaging or teacher gifts suddenly becomes a whole lot easier! (Just be aware you can only fit 8 to 10 words of text on a 2×2 inch stamp.)

Stamps that Save Time & Money
All eating eggs sold in the United States are legally required to have Safe Handling Instructions appear somewhere on the outside of the carton. And once you have invested in stamped cartons, wouldn’t it be nice if customers knew they could return the empty carton to you for refills? Here are some stamp options that can help! (A stamp that urges buyers to return the carton to you, saving you 50¢ per carton, will pay for itself after just 65 carton returns in the first year.)

Putting Your Stamp to Work
Egg carton stamps can be a bit of an upfront investment but they pay for themselves as time goes by. If you’d like to recoup your money a bit faster, you can purchase generic designs that let you stamp and sell blank cartons locally. “Pasture Raised”, “Farmhouse Eggs”, “Hatching Eggs” and “Quail Eggs” (all without a farm name) have been the most popular options.

Wait is that really your address? Do you sell chicks? I have been following your site forever and would love to drive over and buy some of these great blue egger breeds. My email is kkicons@gmail.com and looking forward to hearing from y’all!

Hi Kristin! I don’t use real addresses on stamped carton examples – the street addresses are all fake. I do not sell eggs or chicks. However I have the contact info for other breeders on the “Buy Eggs” page who sell the same breeds and mixes that I cross myself. Clucks & Waddles Homestead is in Montgomery, extremely close to Magnolia if you’re looking for Whiting True Blues!
